Wisdom Teeth and Other Surgical Procedures

Know about Surgical Procedures

Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth are third molars that appear in the back of mouth usually in your late teens to mid twenties. Often wisdom teeth can erupt through and take their position within the dental arch and not cause any problems and some people may never have any wisdom teeth at all. However, there are times when your jaw may not be big enough to accommodate your wisdom teeth and they can get stuck or impacted and cause serious problems such as infection, pain.

At Inline Smiles, we take regular x-ray’s to identify if your wisdom teeth may need removal. We may recommend removal in order to avoid future problems such as damage to the jaw and adjacent teeth, spreading infections.

Surgical Procedures

At Inline Smiles Clinic, we offered other minor surgical procedures such as:

  • Frenectomies
  • Exposure of unerupted teeth
  • Removal of impacted teeth or extra teeth

Any surgical or invasive procedures carry risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner
